National Anthem Fakery? 'Producers Ask Pink To Lip Sync At Super Bowl'

Will Pink lip sync the national anthem at the Super Bowl?

The "Get the Party Started" singer, 38, has been asked to do so as she's suffering from a bad case of the flu, a RadarOnline.com source has revealed.

"Producers are trying to convince Pink to lip sync on Sunday for her Super Bowl performance -- or at least sing along to a track of her voice for the national anthem," the insider shared.

"Her flu isn't getting much better and they want to have a fantastic anthem after everything that has been going on recently with the NFL and the 'take a knee' player protests.

"The producers' concern is that if she doesn't deliver it hard, it might look like she is being disrespectful," the source said.

But Pink, who is from a military family, is also a trouper and is "insisting on singing live, with no lip synching whatsoever," the source confides.

"She's been on vocal rest and is convinced with the help of angels she can get through this. Pink is going to dig deep and wants to give the performance of the life.

"She's a real artist and is not going to fake it!"

Pink is the latest victim of the flu sweeping America -- but she could get some inspiration from her favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, playing the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

The Grammy-winning star is set to sing shortly before the game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Justin Timberlake and Leslie Odom Jr. will also perform at the Super Bowl, with the former headlining the halftime show and the latter singing "America the Beautiful."

Pop star Pink, the mother of two, revealed that she's fighting the flu via an Instagram she posted on Saturday that showed her rehearsing on the field at the U.S. Bank Stadium.

She wrote, "Trying to practice the flu away. I've been waiting to sing this song the anthem since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song. And now, my chance has finally come. And it just so happens that this chance comes when I have two small Petri dish kids who literally cough INTO MY MOUTH and rub their snot on my cheek. You can't write this stuff I swear! And here we are. I've arrived at another one of my dreams which is slowly becoming a sort of nightmare. I will tell you, this is one of the biggest honors of my life, singing this song in front of my family, my military family, my dad and brother and step mama and family and the world. And the EAGLES!?!?! I promise I will do my best, as I always do. As far as the gremlins that got me into this mess, you can cough at me for the rest of your lives. If it's a contest, babies, you win. #spreadthelove"

Tune in to the big game later today to see if Pink wins her lip synch battle!
