A former longtime member of the NXIVM sex cult exclusively told RadarOnline.com that women in the group are expected to have sex around the clock.
The ex-member said women within NXIVM are given strict rules. One is that they are expected to keep their cell phones on at all hours of the night – and they have no choice but to answer if leader Keith Raniere is on the other end.
"Keith sleeps weird hours," said the ex-member. "All of the women had to keep their phone on. They were basically at his beck and call."
The former NXIVM member described it as a "24-hour on-call for sex."
"He would message you at 4 a.m. in the morning and you had to appear," said the cult insider.
The alleged cult led by Keith Raniere is currently under investigation. Raniere and Smallville actress Allison Mack face sex trafficking charges for allegedly leading the secret sex circle.
The former member, however, explained how the operation is disguised. She said women who are approached by NXIVM recruiters are told it's a "professional development program."
Slowly over time, the insider said the women are expected to be submissive. The ex-NXIVM member claimed Raniere has multiple rules about sex, such as how women within the group groom themselves and what they eat.
"One of the rules is that as soon as you were in the harem or getting close to it, you'd be instructed by another woman to stop eating garlic," said the female.
Additionally, the member said women are expected "not to shave or wax their pubic hair."
As Radar previously reported, a former member claimed Raniere's right-hand woman, Allison Mack, had an obsession with starving the sex slaves and herself to please Raniere.
Raniere is currently being held in prison without bail. Mack, however, was released on a $5 million bond and is under house arrest.
