Meghan Markle's diva behavior left her personal assistant in tears, according to a new report in Britain's The Mirror. A source told the publication that Melissa Toubati, 39, quit after working with Prince Harry's wife for just six months because of Markle's attitude.
The Mirror insider said of Toubati, "Her job was highly pressurized and in the end it became too much. She put up with quite a lot. Meghan put a lot of demands on her and it ended up with her in tears."She is hugely talented and played a pivotal role in the success of the royal wedding. She'll be missed by everyone in the household.
"Melissa is a total professional and fantastic at her job, but things came to a head and it was easier for them both to go their separate ways," the source noted.
RadarOnline.com previously reported that Toubati had resigned her position with Markle, now 37 and pregnant, amid rumors about the new royal's diva ways. In royal biographer Robert Jobson‘s book Charles at 70: Thoughts, Hopes and Dreams, he claimed that before the wedding, Prince Harry, 34, raised his voice and yelled, “What Meghan wants, she gets!”
Also, there are allegations that the Queen warned Harry about "difficult" Markle's attitude after a dispute over what tiara she could wear on her wedding day. Royal correspondent Richard Palmer has written, "It is clear that Meghan is regarded as difficult and demanding by some in the family and on the staff.”
And this weekend news leaked from the Daily Mail sources that Markle had wanted an improvement before she walked down the aisle at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in her May wedding. The Mail's sources said Markle allegedly was upset about by the musty odor of the 15th century chapel and "asked for air fresheners to be deployed before her guests arrived."
Her request was reportedly turned down by royal staffers. Also, Markle and Prince Harry will no longer be living near Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, causing talk that the move out of Kensington Palace was the former Suits star's idea.
Now come the details about the reason behind her assistant Toubati's abrupt exit. She was a skilled professional who had previously worked for X-Factor judges Robbie Williams and Ayda Field.
According to the Mirror, when Toubati resigned as Markle's personal assistant, a palace source was authorized to praise her and the role she played in organizing Harry's royal wedding.
But one royal source also told the publication former actress Markle has been judged too harshly as she tries to fit into royal life: "She is simply not afraid to express her opinion. "While many find her a little pushy there are many in the royal household who have quickly taken to her."
