The honeymoon is over for the couples of Married At First Sight: Honeymoon Island, but who will survive outside of paradise? In an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s season finale, Shannon questions if his romance with Kimber will survive in the real world.
“We instantly hit it off,” he told his friends. “There is so much stuff we have in common. She had the qualities I like in a woman. I need to explore it a little more.”
When another cast member asked if he’ll be committed long-distance, he responded, “If you want something bad enough you’re going to make it happen. If you don’t you’re going to make excuses. If I feel like I really miss her. I’ll fly out the next day.”
But although Shannon never had a connection like the one he has with Kimber, he needs to see if the relationship will work “in real life.”
“That’s what scares me about committing to Kimber,” he said.
“How do I know she’s the one? I don’t know if I fully want to commit, but I don’t want to lose her. I’m stuck in between that. I’m going crazy about the possibilities of both things. I’m still confused. I still don’t know what to do at this point.”
The couple has faced their share of issues throughout the season. On a previous episode, Kimber explained how she doesn’t want children.
“I am a stepmom to a little girl from a previous relationship,” she explained. “I potty-trained her, I was there when she took her first steps. Having that experience makes me more confident in saying I don’t want to have a child that is mine."
Married at First Sight: Honeymoon Island airs Tuesday, December 11 on Lifetime.
