Broke Boytoy? Mariah Carey To Buy Own Engagement Ring For Bryan Tanaka Proposal!

Mariah Carey is ready to marry backup dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka, but with ONE stipulation– that she purchase her OWN diamond engagement ring!

“Mariah made her intentions to get married very clear to Bryan when they were in New York for New Year’s Eve,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

“But she doesn’t want him trying to buy an engagement ring because she knows that he will not be able to afford the kind of ring that she deserves, so she will buy her own.”

“She wants a scripted engagement and so that is what she is going to get.”

However, according to the source, “Mariah does love Bryan and when she is with him she drops her diva attitude. Her team is happy because she is happy and when Mariah is not happy, no one around her is either.”

As fans who follow the 47-year-old diva songstress know, Carey started her relationship with Tanaka, 34, on the heels of a breakup with former billionaire fiancé, James Packer, 50. Since their split, she has refused to return the massive engagement ring that he purchased for her.
