Police are probing Lil' Kim's involvement in a house robbery over the weekend.

Reportedly an argument then ensued between the owner/manager of the home who refused to refund them for the rental.

Around 4am on Sunday morning a gang of armed robbers stormed the house and stole the deposit check and cash before vandalizing some cars too.

As a result the LAPD have launched an investigation into the robbery that could land Lil' Kim in some legal hot water.

This is not her first run in with the law - Kim, born Kimberly Denise Jones, did jail time in 2005.

She was convicted of three counts of conspiracy and one count of perjury regarding her friends' involvement in a 2001 shooting outside a studio in Manhattan, New York.

The star testified not to have known they were at the scene but was caught on camera footage exiting the building with the accused.

As a result she served 12 months at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia.

If she's connected to this latest robbery she could end up back in jail.
