'Was It Drugs?' Leah Messer Breaks Down While Coming Clean About Pain Killer Rumors

Leah Messer has denied entering rehab for an addition to prescription pills despite the claims made against her. But during an appearance on Steve Harvey, the Teen Mom 2 star finally came clean when asked about her June 2015 stay at a treatment center.

"You were in rehab," Harvey asked Messer, 24, in a sneak peek. "Was it due to drugs?"

The mother-of-three avoided the question, as she responded, "It took me quite some time to decide whether I was going to go or not. I'm from West Virginia and everyone I was around didn't quite support me going away."

Messer added how although she knew she was "suffering from something," she didn't know what and knew she "needed help."

When Harvey asked, again, why she decided to enter rehab, she responded, "I was on the anxiety and depression track."

The reality star explained how being a teen mom triggered her anxiety.

"I put every single bit of me into my kids, marriage and house," she said. "It always felt like it wasn't enough. It took me down. I had to learn I had to make time for myself. That's the change I had to make in order to be happy and healthy."

Messer was accused of having substance abuse issues when she was caught on camera slurring her words and dozing off mid-sentence in various Teen Mom 2 scenes.

When her ex-husband Corey Simms confronted her about the rumors, which he heard from around their town, she denied the claims.

"We think Leah could be taking powerful painkillers including Lortab and Percocet," a source told RadarOnline.com. "They are very easy to get on the streets in her hometown. Sometimes she drops her girls off with her mom at night and takes painkillers or drinks heavily. Dawn is all too eager to help out and tries to keep Leah's secrets hidden."

In October, Messer admitted to taking hydrocodone and Percocet after her daughter Adalynn's birth in 2013.
