Kris Jenner is freaking out over the upcoming Ryan Murphy miniseries about O.J. Simpson after learning that the uber-producer has decided to turn her character into a major role in the series.

"Kris is panicking over this and is desperate for intel on the plot," an insider tells RadarOnline.com.

Murphy, who writes for American Horror Story, has been working on the FX anthology American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. With names from John Travolta to David Schwimmer attached to the project, the drama will tackle the Simpson trial, which captivated the nation in 1995 .

"Kris is convinced the only reason her character's been given more airtime is because they're going to explore all those old rumors about her having an affair with OJ," explains the insider to Radar. "This has been a real cross for her to bear."

The revelation has been difficult for 59-year-old Jenner's daughter, Khloe Kardashian, 31, as well.

"Khloe's had to face claims OJ's her dad on the back of it," the insider tells Radar.

"This is her worst nightmare. She swears it's not true, but even the implication or suggestion of it in that miniseries is going to cause her years of hell on earth."
