Kill 'Em With Kindness! Kelly Osbourne Congratulates Melissa Rivers On 'Fashion Police' –– Despite Opening Night Jab On E! Show

Despite a pointed jab at her expense on Fashion Police's return Monday, former cast member Kelly Osbourne congratulated new host on Melissa Rivers in a tweet.

"Congratulations on an awesome show tonight!" Osbourne, 30, told Rivers, 47, who took to the air Monday with co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski after a six-week break.

Rivers, who's also the show's executive producer, gushed over the well-wishes, and complimented Osbourne on the job she did working the MTV Video Music Awards a night earlier.

"I love you!!! The flowers are amazing and you owned the lavender carpet! Xxx #friends #mysister," she wrote.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Osbourne did not escape the show unscathed, as a bit that aired showed Rivers cleaning up the room and finding purple and red hair, an obvious reference to Osbourne and the also-departed Kathy Griffin.

She added, "And well, I'm still cleaning up messes, but the good news is Fashion Police is back!"

Of course, Osbourne had no kind words for former co-worker Rancic after publicly ripping her last week, saying she thinks the slim fashionista is a "liar," not "a good person" and a reason she's no longer involved with the program. She said that she'd consider coming back if "certain people weren't there."
