Dennis filed for primary custody of the couple’s two children Kensie, 4, and Saint, 2, in Charleston County Court in South Carolina on October 25, 2018.

In the complaint, she claimed she has been sober for a year after attending rehab and passing all tests requested by Ravenel.

“She is a fit and proper primary parent for the child,” she stated in the documents, even including a rave evaluation from her psychologist.

“The mother is informed and believes it is in the best interests of the minor children that she be granted either sole custody and/or primary custody of the minor children, and permanently, with reasonable visitation granted to the father,” the court papers read. “The mother has more time, more energy, is 29 years younger than the Defendant, and is more capable to care for the parties’ children on a full-time basis than the father.”

She claimed that when Ravenel had primary custody this past year, he heavily relied on full-time nannies and is incapable of caring for them himself.

She then claimed that he might have a personality disorder, as he sexually assaulted at least two women, including their former nanny Dawn Ledwell.

“The Defendant was just recently arrested for the assault of the parties’ former nanny,” the papers claim. “The mother is informed that the assault of the former nanny occurred one night when the Defendant was under the influence of alcohol along with potential drugs.”

She claimed Ledwell passed a lie detector test in regards to her testimony that Ravenel sexually assaulted her. She also claimed there are text messages where he apologized to Ledwell, allegedly saying he doesn’t want to be charged with rape.

She believes Ravenel paid $200,000 in hush money to another woman he allegedly sexually assaulted.

“The Plaintiff is informed that the father has drunk alcohol to excess, mixed with his prescription drugs, that has caused him to be impaired during periods of time in which he has had custody of the children,” the papers claim.

She wants him to be restrained from consuming any alcohol when he has the children. She also requests he be required to undergo testing on a random basis after his parenting time with the children to confirm whether or not he has remained sober.

She then brought up instances where he has had “impulsive and uncontrollable bouts of anger” towards critics or strangers on the street. She even claimed he has been banned from certain restaurants and public places because of his behavior.

"The Plaintiff believes that the Defendant’s extreme narcissism and anger management problems negatively impact his parenting abilities,” she claimed. “The Mother is informed and believes that the Defendant’s anger management problems ADHD issues and his impulsive and out of control behavior has been exhibited to some degree around the children.”

She also accused him of “failing to pay the mother a dime of child support."

She then claimed that Ravenel has not gone to any rehabilitation programs.

“His past use of cocaine is well known and his prior period of incarceration is well known in the community,” she wrote. “He is now facing additional criminal charges – both of which apparently involve the Defendant being impaired from a combination of alcohol and his prescription drugs – the Mother is informed and believes that the safety of the children should mandate that the Defendant be restrained from consuming any alcohol when the children are in his custody.”

Ravenel responded swinging, as he accused her of being a bad mom in his answer to her complaint.

He claimed she filed her complaint in bad faith for the purpose of getting media attention, creating material for her Southern Charm storyline and ensuring her “marketability” as a reality star.

“Defendant admits that the Plaintiff has passed all tests requested of her by Defendant,” the November 6 filing read. “Plaintiff has purchased synthetic urine for purposes passing court-ordered drug tests in the past. Defendant therefore cannot conclude that the Plaintiff ‘passed tests’ is evidence that Plaintiff has been drug-free.”

He also denies that she successfully attended rehab and demands proof, as he believes she failed to attend a majority of her classes and group lessons.

He then accused her of being a bad mom, claiming their children have “developmentally regressed” since she received 50/50 custody.

“Plaintiff failed to help potty train the parties’ youngest child and continues to feed the youngest by bottle instead of a cup,” he wrote.

He dismissed her allegation that nannies care for their children, as he claimed he is a “well-involved, competent and capable hands-on father.”

“Plaintiff travels extensively, has forfeited visitation time with the minor children to do so, and habitually leaves the minor children with their maternal grandmother so Plaintiff can party and socialize when the minor children are in her care,” he alleged.

He also claimed that he was never diagnosed with a personality disorder, while she has been diagnosed with “Bi-Polar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, kleptomania, self-mutilation" and more.

He asked the court to deny her request for change in custody and to restrain the minor children from being filmed or featured on Southern Charm.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Ravenel filed a countersuit against Bravo and production company Haymaker Media, Inc, accusing them of "encouraging" Dennis to file the lawsuit to create drama for the upcoming season.

Dennis’ filing comes after a South Carolina judge ruled Ravenel is heading to trial. In September, he was arrested and charged with assault and battery in the second degree by Nanny Dawn.
