After endless divorce rumors, Kailyn Lowry finally confirmed she's leaving her husband Javi Marroquin after more than three years of marriage. The Teen Mom 2 star announced the split while running errands on May 24.
"Yeah, it's true," Lowry, 24, told Daily Mail. "We're trying to do the best we can for our kids because they are what really matters."
Lowry and Marroquin tied the knot in January 2013 before celebrating with a September 2013 ceremony. They are parents to Lincoln, 2, and Isaac, 6, who is Lowry's son from a previous relationship with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera.
Although Lowry has denied divorce rumors while her Air Force husband has been on deployment, she no longer defended their relationship when the news broke.
"I don't have any comments at this time," she exclusively told RadarOnline.com.
Their tumultuous relationship has been a storyline for the last two seasons of Teen Mom 2.
It was the beginning of the end for the couple when RadarOnline.com revealed the reality star texted other men behind her husband's back.
"Kail has been texting guys wanting to catch up and hang out— without Javi," a source told RadarOnline.com. "It's very odd behavior for a married woman. She doesn't even talk about him. There's obviously trouble in paradise."
The fight was a storyline on TM2, as Marroquin revealed at the end of the season that the couple had drawn up divorce papers.
The drama only continued for the couple when Lowry suffered a devastating miscarriage. On an episode, she revealed her husband blamed her for the loss because he "needed someone to blame."
When Marroquin deployed in January, their marriage took another hit when he became close with a female worker.
"Kailyn doesn't know the woman," a source told OKmagazine.com. "She only met her once at her friend's bridal shower and apparently she works with Javi."
The parents-of-two stopped following each other on social media when he sent sexy photos to a female friend.
Despite the issues, Lowry always denied divorce rumors, even when Marroquin confirmed the split on social media.
"I don't know what's going on," she told RadarOnline.com when he tweeted about "hurting" as much as his stepson Isaac over the split. "Being there is messing with his head I'm sure. We're married."
