Joel McHale playfully mocked Barbara Walters’ illness during a visit to The View on Thursday, sporting spots all over his face in a nod to the legendary broadcaster, who’s been out sick after falling in Washington, D.C. on Inauguration weekend, suffering a concussion and then finding out she has the chicken pox – at 83!

The hilarious Community star walked onto the set of The View and hugged the ladies of the panel, which included guest co-host Kris Jenner.  All of the women recoiled at the site of his spotty face. “You had me in Barbara’s dressing room, and I feel very hot," he quipped. “I’d like to take a nap. I’m not feeling good,” he added.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Walters called into The View on Wednesday and announced she won’t be returning to the show for another three weeks because she’s still feeling “weak and tired.”

Walters’ unfortunate absence from The View comes during the critical February ratings period.

McHale appeared on The View to promote the return of Community, which kicks off its fourth season at 8/7c on NBC on Thursday night.
