Jenelle Evans was accused of testing positive for marijuana when she gave birth to her daughter Ensley, explosive court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com revealed. Now, the Teen Mom 2 star is admitting she used drugs while pregnant!
“I tested positive for THC, but Ensley did not test positive,” Evans, 26, said on Vince Russo’s podcast. “Child protective services said, 'Did you smoke when you were pregnant?' I said, 'I did within the past 30 days.'”
Evans claimed she smoked THC, which is chemical compound found in marijuana, because she suffered from “really bad esophageal spasms” and was “throwing up every five minutes.”
“They said, ‘Okay some moms do that. We are not here to judge, we are writing down your information,’” she explained. “After I had Ensley, they said CPS will just come by to do a well check since I tested positive. They came and did a well checkup, everything is fine. They closed the case.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, her baby daddy Nathan Griffith’s mother Doris Davidson filed an emergency request for full custody of their son Kaiser, 3, on September 1, 2017.
Although Evans insisted Ensley did not test positive for the drug, Davidson wrote in the court docs, “Upon the birth of Ensley, the newborn tested positive for marijuana.”
“DSS became involved due to Ensley testing positive for marijuana and opened an investigation,” the court papers continued. “Upon information and belief, both Plaintiff and David had positive drug screens for marijuana.”
Evans continued of her ongoing case against Davidson, “People like Nathan's mom are bringing up old stuff from my past. CPS has been here like 30 times, not just for that, but for haters online saying that I abuse my kids. So they came and checked on that.”
Evans has been accused of child abuse in the past. On Twitter, fans started #SaveKaiser after he screamed for his mother to feed him.
Despite the drug use during her pregnancy, she insisted she is sober.
“If I was on drugs I wouldn't be able to sit here and get the kids ready and eat healthy or I'd be losing a lot of weight,” she said. “Look at the psychological pattern of what Jenelle does during the day and tell me when she has time, or where, to do drugs.”
As readers know, Evans has been arrested in the past for possession of marijuana and heroin.
