Hillary Clinton gave her fans a bizarre video message via Twitter on Friday night, thanking "activist bitches supporting bitches."

The odd moment came, as Deadline noted, after The New York Times reported that Hillary had kept a man on her campaign staff in 2008 although he had been accused of sexually harassing an aide.

The Democrat presidential candidate allegedly kept her senior adviser, Burns Strider, around during her run against Barack Obama even after the allegations; Strider was kept on and his accuser moved to another campaign position.

Strider, then 42 and married, was Clinton's "Director of Faith-Based Outreach" and frequently appeared on religious-themed broadcasts to promote her candidacy in 2008.

Was Hillary trying to soothe her feminist supporters by speaking in the video posted to Twitter on Friday by Huffington Post commentator Alex Mohajer?

In the clip, Hillary, 70, praises feminists, saying, "Hey everyone, I just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for your feminism, for your activism, and all I can hope is you keep up the really important, good work."

After being prompted off-camera, laughing Hillary added, "And let me just say, this is directed to the activist bitches supporting bitches, so let's go."

Clinton had previously told the Times about the Strider accusations on Twitter, "I was dismayed when it occurred, but was heartened the young woman came forward, was heard, and had her concerns taken seriously and addressed."

Hillary said she had called the accuser on Friday to "tell her how proud I am of her and to make sure she knows what all women should: We deserve to be heard."

Still, Hillary, who lost to Donald Trump in the 2016 election, didn't explain why she reassigned the woman and protected adviser Strider.

Some critics blasted the former Secretary of State online, with conservative actor James Woods tweeting about her video, "Five martinis deep and it's not yet 2PM...."

Even liberal MSNBC co-host Mika Brzezinkski wrote on Twitter about the controversy, "This exposes again the trademark Clinton failure to take personal responsibility; the allergy to owning up to error; the refusal to cede any ground, no less apologize; the incessant double-standarding, with more forgiving rules for the Clintons."

During her presidential run, people also had to look past the former First Lady's apparent health bobbles. She famously collapsed in September 2016 after a 9/11 memorial.

Hillary was also caught stumbling at a rally and suffered severe coughing spells during various speeches, which she blamed on allergies. She ultimately lost the presidential race to Trump in November 2016 and has kept a fairly low profile ever since.

But she might have new reason to worry about her legal status again as the justice department recently revealed they are taking a new and closer look into Clinton's private emails exchanged during her time as Secretary of State.
