Heather's Plastic Surgeon Ex Taking 'Leave Of Absence' After Prison Sentencing!

Heather Locklear's ex plastic surgeon boyfriend, Dr. Marc Mani, has told his patients he's taking a “leave of absence” – but RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively the disgraced doctor is actually headed to prison, after stashing over a million dollars in a foreign account.
“Dr. Mani is currently on a one year ‘leave of absence’ from medical practice,” reads a letter to patients viewed by RadarOnline.com from friend and fellow doctor Neal Handel. “Because he is familiar with my experience and my work, and because we share a commitment to excellence in patient care, Dr. Mani asked me to assume the care of his patients while he is away.”
As RadarOnline.com revealed, Mani, 50, was sentenced to federal prison for hiding $1.3 million in a foreign account in Dubai, according to prosecutors.
Mani plead guilty in July 2017 to one count of failing to file a foreign bank and financial report.
On September 17, 2018, Mani was given one year and one day in federal prison for failing to file a foreign bank and financial account report.
Federal prosecutors said Mani hid the money he earned while working in Dubai, where he performed plastic surgeries.
As part of his new responsibilities, Dr. Handel, who previously has announced a reduction in availability, will instead move into Mani’s office, and assume his patients. Handel will even travel to Dubai to treat overseas patients.
When Mani is released, he will resume care for all of his patients.
