It was the trial of the century, and the suit that OJ Simpson wore when he was acquitted in October 1995 of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman is finally out of storage and heading to a museum -- and RadarOnline.com has the exclusive first look of the infamous suit in 15 years.

“The truth of the matter is, this was a suit that somebody wore when they got away with murdering 2 people,” OJ’s former agent Mike Gilbert exclusively told RadarOnline.com. Gilbert has had possession of the suit since the day after OJ was acquitted for the murders almost 15 years ago.

OJ Sued Again

“I asked OJ, what are you going to do with the suit?” Mike told RadarOnline.com. “He looked at it and said ‘Nothing. Why? Do you want it? Why is it important to you?’” Gilbert explained why he wanted to keep the suit. “It’s part of American History.”

As the verdict that shocked the nation was read, OJ was wearing the tan Ermenegildo Zenga suit, white shirt and gold tie. Gilbert showed RadarOnline.com details on the suit from the day. “You can see here lipstick from OJ’s sister, just a little bit of blood on the collar from where he nicked himself shaving that morning. It’s never been dry cleaned."

The suit is being donated to the Newseum in Washington, DC in the next few weeks. Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman, and OJ and his lawyer all agreed to the donation of the suit in a court settlement.

Gilbert recalled being in the court the day OJ was acquitted of the murders. “He had the suit, shirt and tie on and I thought 'He looks good.' He said that he never expected the backlash the country felt, but he came to believe, in his opinion, that OJ did in fact murder Nicole and Ron.

“When they read the verdict the first thing I thought was its over. I truly believed that day it was over, we would all go back to our lives. I would be an agent; he would be a commentator, an actor. I was clueless of the outrage that would come from America.”

OJ’s former agent said that he felt sympathy for the Goldman family. “I couldn’t imagine what they were feeling to have to mourn the death of a son and a brother in front of America.”

Fred Goldman Wants O.J. Simpson's 'Not Guilty' Suit

In a strange twist of fate, OJ Simpson is serving a 33 year prison sentence in a case related to the suit. He was convicted of robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas in October 2008 after he tried to retrieve his own memorabilia that he said was stolen by dealers. At the botched robbery attempt, OJ had thought that the suit was going to be among the items he was retrieving.
