Rehab For Ellen? Portia's Had It With Her Wife's Boozing
Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are at a breaking point over the talk show host's drinking, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Just one week after the 59-year-old talk show host revealed in an on-air episode that she was rushed to the hospital by de Rossi after a drunken fall, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that DeGeneres could be being forced into rehab by concerned friends and family!
“Ellen needs help and she needs it now,” a pal told RadarOnline.com.
According to the insider, the accident took place while DeGeneres and her 44-year-old Scandal star wife were in a blowout fight over the fact that DeGeneres put their lavish Santa Barbara estate on the market for $45 million.
The source claimed that de Rossi was “very unhappy” about the sale of the spectacular property, which sits on roughly 17 acres of land in the prestigious Montecito, Calif., area.

Playing down the incident on the March 21 episode of The Ellen Show, DeGeneres told her audience, “Well, I had two glasses of wine and fell into a door. Portia drove me to the hospital — to the emergency room. I dislocated my finger."
However, the insider told RadarOnline.com that although DeGeneres turned her pratfall into comedy, it is no laughing matter to her inner circle!
“She can joke all she wants about this, but it’s not funny. And this could spell the end of her marriage,” said the source.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, this is not the first time that friends have been concerned over DeGeneres’s drinking.
In 2011, it was reported that de Rossi was “begging” DeGeneres to get help!
“Ellen has been honest about her addiction fear and has discussed it with family and friends many times,” the insider added.
