Disgraced Derick Dillard Makes It To The Marathon Finish Line
Jill Duggar is thrilled that her husband Derick Dillard has completed a marathon – apparently without gagging as he's done in the past while jogging!
The wife and mom posted a photo on Instagram after Derick completed the race this weekend.
In the picture, both wore big smiles at the end of the finish line as Derick had his arm around Jill and he wore a participation medal around his neck for competing. Jill defied her family's strict dress code once again, as followers commented on her wearing pants!
Jill wrote in her caption, "Yay! He did it! Great job babe @derickdillard So proud of you #fullmarathon #hogeye"
On Saturday, April 14, it seemed disgraced Derick had time on his hands after being fired from Counting On.
Jill told fans that Derick was running in a marathon —after TV cameras had once showed him gagging while jogging!
Jill posted an Instagram photo of Derick jogging on a course with other competitors and wrote as a caption, "Yay for @derickdillard So proud of you babe! #running the #hogeyemarathon this morning! #yougotthis."
After he finished, she posted another photo of a triumphant, but tired looking, Derick after the marathon in Springdale, Arkansas.
Before Derick was fired from the Duggar family reality show, Counting On, for blasting TLC's transgender star, Jazz Jennings, viewers saw him gagging on camera while jogging.
Derick has struggled with health issues since he was a teenager, show fans learned back then, and he had to stop by the side of the road when he began coughing and retching violently.

Derick told the cameras that he often experiences symptoms when he's doing any strenuous physical activity.
At the time, Derick wound up going to an allergy doctor, who told him on Counting On that his lungs were fine but he's allergic to a long list of things, including plants and trees.
But Derick has continued running for fitness and he has plenty of time to pursue it now, as TLC, the network that made the Duggar family famous, cut its ties with Jill's controversial husband after his social media posts caused shock.
Dillard had bashed one of the network's other stars, transgender girl Jazz Jennnings, the 17-year-old star of I Am Jazz, tweeting, "I pity Jazz."
