David & Louise Turpin Face Judge In Second Day Of House Of Horrors Hearing
The case concerning the horrific ordeal of David and Louise Turpin’s 13 captive kids continued today in a California courtroom.
RadarOnline.com can reveal the judge has ruled the twisted parents will face all but one of the dozens of charges against them, and their arraignment on the case will take place on Aug. 3.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the couple’s daughter, Jordan Turpin, has been the star witness at the Riverside Hall of Justice.
The 17-year-old was able to end her and her siblings’ nightmare after she escaped the family’s decrepit home through a window and called 911.
“I’ve never been out,” the teen was heard telling an emergency dispatcher in the recording played in court Tuesday. “I don’t go out much, so I don’t know the streets or anything… I live in a family of 15 people and my parents are abusive; they abuse us and my two little sisters are chained up. Sometimes I wake up and I can’t breathe because of how dirty the house is. We never take baths.”
Jordan’s parents were charged with 12 counts of torture and false imprisonment, nine counts of child abuse and seven counts of cruelty to a dependent adult. David, the disgraced father of 13 also faces one count of lewd acts on a child under 14 years old, while his wife Louise is charged with assault resulting in great bodily injury.
Today, according to ABC 7 reporter Rob McMillan, who has been live-tweeting the trial, the judge on the case ruled only the charge concerning one of their toddlers will be dropped.
“As to most of the child endangerment charges, the evidence is there as well. But there’s no evidence that the 2-year old was subject to physical or emotion abuse, despite the conditions in which she was being raised,” the judge reportedly said.
However, McMillan said the judge also noted: "With respect to ‘great bodily injury,’ there's a plethora of evidence in that regard. Example: With what they were eating, there was very little nutritional value. And the pushing, slapping, hitting, and chaining... that's even more evidence.”

“I can’t believe the kids had never been to a dentist,” the judge reportedly continued. “And just the environment they lived in: the lack of clean clothes, bed sheets not washed for two years, not being able to look out the window. Clearly, the infliction of great bodily injury occurred to each one of these children.”
“We have Mrs. Turpin inflicting most of the corporal injury, but Mr. Turpin had a duty to make sure these children were cared for in a proper matter. It’s clear that he failed in that duty."
Referring to the shocking allegation revealed in yesterday’s hearing that David may have sexually molested his daughter, Jordan, the judge reportedly said: "Pulling the clothing down was done with some degree of force, the kissing repeatedly done by Mr. Turpin shows his intent, and him telling her “don’t tell anyone.” Why would he say that if nothing happened?"
David and Louise have both pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
