Casey Anthony Could Face Trial For Saying Man Who Found Caylee's Dead Body Killed her

Could Casey Anthony be heading back to court? It's possible if the man who found her daughter's lifeless body get his way.

Anthony, 32, is being sued by Roy Kronk. Kronk, who previously worked as a meter reader, is suing for defamation. He believes Casey and her legal team made presumptuous statements that implied he was the one who killed and hid Anthony's daughter, Caylee.

Kronk's determined to get some respect put back on his name and has attempted to get Casey in court many years before. He lodged a complaint against Anthony in 2011 claiming she directed her legal team to make erroneous assertions that made it sound like he was somehow involved in Caylee's death.

The case, however, caught a little snag. In 2013, Anthony filed for bankruptcy. She then asked for summary judgment citing that statements made by her defense team didn't meet the required standards for a defamation suit.

Unfortunately for Anthony, Kronk's not buying it and maintains he wants a jury to take on his case.

“There are disputed issues of fact that preclude summary judgment on the defamation issues, and because those issues cannot be tried by the Bankruptcy Court… (Kronk) should be allowed to return to the Orlando state court to obtain a single adjudication of all issues by jury trial, especially now that there are no remaining countervailing bankruptcy issues that would weigh against abstention,” an attorney for Kronk wrote.

A ruling on this issue has yet to be made. However, a previous defamation against Anthony for defamation was rejected. That suit was brought by former babysitter Zenaida Gonzalez who claimed Anthony tried to set her up by claiming she kidnapped Caylee.
