Brianna Jaramillo’s Mom Filed For Bankruptcy Before Moving To Oregon Broke
Brianna Jaramillo and her mother Jessica Garza moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Portland, Oregon for a new beginning, but was there fresh start a way to forget about their crippling debt? RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant grandma filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy right before their move!
In court papers obtained from the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Jessica, 40, filed for bankruptcy on December 29, 2017, owing $33, 271 to creditors.
Jessica owed California Republic Bank $12,219 for a secured car loan on her 2013 Ford Edge.
She racked up $9,140 in medical services, which she owed to Aurora Advanced Healthcare, Great Lakes Pathologist and Children’s Hospital of WI.
She also owed $3,092 in credit card debt, $2,885 in loans and more.
Garza was general manager of Deli Management. She had a monthly income of $3,147.26 despite spending $3,145 a month.
She listed her daughters, Brianna, 18, Vanessa, 19, and grandson, Braeson, then 4 months, as her dependents.
The case was discharged on April 3, 2018.
On Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, Jessica moved to Oregon with Brianna, Braeson and her boyfriend Robert.
Because they had no jobs in Oregon, they were unable to be approved for an apartment. The family has struggled to get employment while living in an Airbnb on the show.
“I thought we were going to come here and have an apartment set up or have jobs and we don’t so it’s more stressful than expected,” Brianna said. “I’m starting to think this move wasn’t a good idea.”
Her mother said, “It’s a pretty stressful time for us right now, moving and being in an new environment and not having anything. Not having a job, not having a place, we have a baby, no home, it’s pretty stressful. I would love to say we would be moved in in a month but I have no idea, it’s scary.”
