Punk Drummer Travis Barker has pulled out of Blink-182’s Las Vegas concerts after suffering blood clots in both arms.
The 42-year-old drummer previously suffered horror injuries in a 2008 private plane crash.
Doctors are currently monitoring Barker while Blink-182 has cancelled their gigs at the Palms Casino where they have a residency.
It has been reported that medics demand that Barker do not take to the stage because of the blood clots in both his arms.
Barker spent more than 11 weeks in hospitals and burn centers following the South Carolina jet crash 10 years ago that killed DJ Adam Goldstein.
The drummer had 16 surgeries and numerous blood transfusions that lasted 4–8 hours and numerous skin grafts after the crash.
“There were times when they were talking about amputating my foot because I didn't have enough skin on my body for my grafts," he said.
Following the Vegas cancellation Barker released a statement to his disappointed fans.
“Drumming is my life and it kills me that I can’t perform for you guys this weekend – I hope to be back as soon as I can.”
New performance dates are to be posted on the band’s website.
