Bill Cosby has gone from peddling pudding pops to promoting healthy living while behind bars, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The 81-year-old comedian, currently serving 3 to 10 years in a high-security prison outside of Pennsylvania for aggravated indecent assault, is doling out advice to other inmates and even prison employees on matters like food, health and staying out of trouble, according to the New York Amsterdam News.
“Mr. Cosby has regular and in-depth discussions about getting better nutrition for the residents and getting them on natural supplements because the residents and officers have major health problems,” his longtime publicist Andrew Wyatt told the paper.
Wyatt, who visited Cosby over the Thanksgiving holiday, said the Fat Albert creator is “so concerned with the high obesity rate, not just with the residents, but the officers because they’re having to survive off of the prison food, too.”
As Radar has reported, Cosby has been freely giving advice to other inmates about their situations, and even refers to them as “residents” rather than inmates.
“He has been able to speak with other inmates about their situation and impart advice,” Wyatt said previously. “Mr. Cosby loves hearing other stories of the inmates whom he calls residents.”
He’s also said to be writing on a book of his new life behind bars, while working on his appeal.
