As if it weren't bad enough that Ben Affleck's wandering eye forced Jennifer Garner to fire their nanny. Now his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, was involved in a nasty fight with her straying hubby of 10 years for supporting his friends who've cheated, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
"Jennifer verbally attacked Ben personally just over a week ago," a source close to the couple told Radar. "She got pissed off and asked him why she should be surprised that he's sleeping with the nanny when his friends are doing the same thing!"
"Basically, she accused him of supporting another sham marriage and looking the other way," continued the source. "And she didn't respect that."
However, the 43-year-old Gone Girl star no longer cares what Garner, also 43, thinks.
"They've made attempts to put on happy, cooperative faces for their uncoupling, but the argument was a watershed moment," said the pal. "Ben is pissed off and it's had massive reverberations for Jennifer."
"Ben asked his inner circle of close guy friends to stay out of his divorce and now the gloves are off," continued the source. "He doesn't want to protect her anymore. He's pretty much thinking he doesn't care what happens."
But one thing is for certain — no matter what happens, the Oscar-winner has the support of his best friends.
"They can't blackball Jennifer Garner, but his inner circle is livid that she injected other people's personal issues into her marital problems," revealed the source.
Sadly, the accusation has caused a massive crack in the A-list couple's attempt to put on a good face for the kids.
"Privately, Ben is done with the charade," said the source.
Still, the Hollywood pair is doing the best they can for the sake of their three children — Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4, and Samuel, 20 months.
"Wherever the kids are is home base and one parent is always there," said the close pal. "He sleeps in the guest house or she goes to a hotel. They are trying to minimize the effects of the separation."
