Avicii Cut Himself & Bled To Death, New Report Claims

Avicii was found dead in Muscat, Oman on April 20 at the age of 28. While his death was at first thought to be an accidental overdose, a new report claims the DJ actually died of a self-inflicted wound.
The report alleged Avicii — whose real name was Tim Bergling — cut himself with a broken bottle of wine and bled to death after years of substance abuse and depression.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the performer's family shared a statement following his passing, in which they suggested the tragic incident had been a planned suicide.
"When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most – music. He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer," read the note, translated from Swedish.
His ex-girlfriend also shared an Instagram post in which she wrote: "I know how hard you struggled and tried. I tried everything I could."
Avicii — who was reportedly hoping to start a family with Czech-American model Tereza Kačerová — previously opened up about his health ailments caused by alcohol. The celebrated DJ suffered from acute pancreatitis, an illness that was partly caused by his excessive drinking.
A collection of drugs was found at the scene when cops discovered his lifeless body.
After his death, sources told RadarOnline.com that most pals were not surprised his hard-partying lifestyle led him to his early grave. Various friends also touched on Avicii's depression in their social media tributes, saying that they'd hoped he'd eventually escape his demons.
"I'm not sure exactly why he was so happy but it seemed like he was turning his life around," wrote the performer's most recent girlfriend, Tereza Kačerová, in a sad post following his demise. "But it just shows, no-one really knows. It's so, so heartbreaking."
Details of his alleged suicide are still being investigated.
