Ariana Grande In 'Intense' Therapy To Cope With Ex Mac Miller's Tragic Death
Feb. 25 2019, Updated 11:41 a.m. ET
It's been almost two weeks since Ariana Grande's ex-boyfriend Mac Miller was found dead from a suspected drug overdose at his home in Studio City, Calif., and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the "devastated" singer is undergoing "intense" therapy to cope with the loss.
"Ariana is taking Mac's death really rough, and her mother has been staying with her right now," a pal told RadarOnline.com. "She's in therapy."
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Grande and comedian fiance Pete Davidson were a no-show at last night's Emmy Awards ceremony, even though his hit show Saturday Night Live won best variety sketch series.
And according to the source, the "No Tears Left To Cry" singer, 25, is laying low as she recovers from the tragedy — but working behind the scenes to ensure Miller's loved ones are okay.
"Ariana has been in contact with his family, and is doing everything she can to honor him," the source added.
Although Grande, who broke up with Miller earlier this year after two years together amid his continued substance abuse, has remained quiet since Miller's tragic passing, she shared a heart-wrenching post on Instagram to let fans know she was okay.
A spokesperson for Grande released a statement yesterday after reports surfaced that she and Davidson would be at the Emmys based on seating charts for the show.
"Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much-needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding."
