It’s been one month since former teen heartthrob Aaron Carter completed treatment but a close friend of the singer tells RadarOnline.com exclusively he's “struggling” to stay sober!
“Aaron just feels smothered right now by his friends and family because they will literally not let him out of their sight at all,” the pal revealed.
“He has submersed himself into his music though and that is his new drug, He is determined to become a legit and recognized artist and he knows that the only way he can do this is if he stays clean.”
As fans know, after suffering a breakdown on the TV show The Doctors, Carter, 30, entered a treatment facility on Sept. 22. But after leaving shortly thereafter, he reentered another rehab center in October and remained there until completing the program last month.
“He is going to recovery meetings and working with a therapist as well as a psychiatrist and addiction specialist,” the source added.

“He has a lot of support behind him, but it’s still an everyday battle.”
