'I Love Her': Selena Gomez Speaks Out For First Time Since Best Friend Demi Lovato's Overdose

Selena Gomez is at peace with herself and doing better than ever at 26. And while she's taken herself out of the L.A. spotlight, and settled down into a simpler lifestyle in Orange County, she has not forgotten her Hollywood friends—especially Demi Lovato.

Bubbly Gomez even got chocked up when speaking to ELLE about her longtime friend's recent drug overdose and health crisis.

"All I'm saying is, I reached out personally. I didn't do a public thing. I didn't want to. I…I love her. I've known her since I was seven. So…it's…that's what I'll say."

RadarOnline.com readers know Gomez and Lovato, 26, have been through many ups and downs in their years-long friendship. But the "Sober" singer's near-fatal crisis seems to have ended their public feud.

As fans recall, Lovato was found unconscious inside her home after celebrating her friend's birthday with hard drugs. She was revived with Narcan and transported to the hospital in a serious condition.

A source even told RadarOnline.com at the time that Gomez was "blaming Demi's friends for the overdose, as well as her relapse."

Now, Lovato is recovering from her OD and getting treatment for her addiction issues.

Meanwhile, Gomez—who has suffered health issues of her own stemming from her lupus diagnosis—is living her healthiest and happiest life yet.
