At the time, Zsa Zsa's family did not tell her of her daughter's passing. "When Francesca died, everyone tried to keep it from Zsa Zsa and not tell her that she was dead," the source said. "But Zsa Zsa knew what was going on."

Zsa Zsa looked frail and ill, bedridden at her home in Bel Air, California for the last several years of her life. According to the insider, "Zsa Zsa was absolutely miserable at the end. She did not want anyone to see her in the state that she was in."

"When Prince would have parties at the house he shared with Zsa Zsa, she would not attend the parties. She would stay upstairs confined to her bed and would not allow anyone to see her, ever," the source told RadarOnline.com.

In 2011, Gabor had her right leg amputated. Later that same year, she experienced a slew of health complications that left her bedridden for the remainder of her life.

Though she lost her health, Gabor retained her quick mind. "Zsa Zsa was still acutely aware of what was going on around her," revealed the source. "She was still obsessed with Hollywood and glamour up until the day that she died."
