The Boeing 727 once carried up to 130 people. But the aircraft was refitted into a breathtaking home away from home for Trump and his family.

The jet featured a living room, a dining room, and a master suite that put most American homes to shame. There were even special cubby holes where then-21-month-old Tiffany stored her plush toys.

"No expense has been spared in building the plane," Trump's chief pilot Mike Donovan said at the time. "The creature comforts surpass any private aircraft in the world!"

The flying palace was also equipped with best communications and flight technology at the time. The main living areas featured a built-in buffet with gold serving dishes. The walls and built-in accessories were made from prime mahogany hand-crafted in Italy. And all the metal fittings, latches and door handles were plated with 24-karat gold – at a cost of about $500,000.

Though the Republican nominee never drinks alcohol, the plane was equipped with a fully-stocked bar and onboard wine cellar. Trump even had his own movie theatre on board! Donovan said, "it's the world's most luxurious private jet."

Now Trump owns two airplanes, a 757 and a smaller jet used on the campaign trail, and three helicopters, according to the New York Times And he seems to be enjoying his private plane trips, often tweeting pictures of himself dining on fast food inside.
