The actor was clearly struggling to speak as he reportedly used a tissue to dab at his mouth while introducing a film that's based on Citizen Twain, Kilmer's one-man play.

Though he recently denied Michael Douglas's claims that he was suffering from oral cancer, Kilmer, 56, confessed to the gathered audience that he was having issues because his "tongue swelled," resulting in the actor canceling a planned tour for Citizen Twain.

"I went into rehearsals down in Florida and started having trouble with my speech," explained Kilmer. "Obviously I'm still recovering. My tongue swelled up and I canceled the tour. As I'm recovering I'm showing this."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Kilmer was forced to undergo an emergency tracheotomy in his life-or-death fight last winter against a throat tumor.

However, "I have no cancer whatsoever," Kilmer recently insisted in a lengthy Facebook post. "I still have a swollen tongue and am rehabbing steadily."
