Teresa Giudice has stunned fans by showing off some serious muscles! The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 46, competed in the 40-plus age bikini division of a bodybuilding competition, winning third place—and RadarOnline.com has the photos! Scroll down to see more on Teresa's bold move as her husband Joe still languishes in prison.
Who knew? Teresa flaunted her toned arms, ripped abs, and muscular legs in her bikini at the NPC South Jersey Bodybuilding Championships on Saturday, June 9, in Medford, New Jersey.
Although the Bravo star has always been known for her exercise routines and shape, she kept her bodybuilding a secret—until now! Teresa wowed on stage in the swimsuit competition wearing a glittery purple bikini, chandelier earrings and high heels.
Teresa didn't share her participation in the bodybuilding competition ahead of time. But when she unveiled her muscular body, the crowd went wild!
According to a PEOPLE source, mother-of-four Teresa "has been training for this bodybuilding competition since December. She wanted a new challenge and pushed herself to the extreme. Right now she is in the best shape of her life."
Teresa beat four other women to land in third place in the competition. "She has lost a bunch of weight," the insider told PEOPLE. In fact, the RHONJ star is "even more fit than when she got home from prison."
Last month, Teresa shared a workout video of herself in which she exercised her back by pulling weights. She has also been seen doing weighted squats and using a curl machine. The results look amazing!
It's obvious that Teresa has worked on her body like a demon as her husband Joe continues to serve his 41-month prison sentence for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud. Teresa previously finished her own shorter sentence of 11 months and went back home to her four daughters. She actually started the workout routines in prison and said she lost three pants sizes! As RadarOnline.com has reported, Joe has also lost weight behind bars, an incredible 45 pounds.
The reality TV wife and mother has also been known to practice yoga regularly. But now, she's shown her fans she's a muscular superwoman in the competition that featured bodybuilders from all over New Jersey! A source told Page Six, that Teresa "has told friends she would consider competing more in the future, but for now, no plans to do so. She wanted to challenge herself physically and is extremely happy with how she did, coming in 3rd out of 8."
