Ryan Edwards' Family Doesn't Believe He'll Stay Sober Post-Jail: 'Plans Don't Happen'

Ryan Edwards was released from Hamilton County Jail on Monday, April 15 after a nearly three-month stint behind bars on heroin and theft charges.

RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal Maci Bookout's baby daddy has no post-rehab treatment plans, as his family doesn't believe he'll remain sober.
No Hope?
"Being incarcerated, his family hopes he learned his lesson and stays clean," a source told RadarOnline.com. "Would they bet on it? Not on a dime. Drugs are very powerful. When your body needs them, you do things you normally wouldn't do."
Post-Jail Plans
Ryan's mother Jen and father Larry hope he seeks treatment again. "Jen would like for Ryan to find a counselor, someone he can talk to," the source said. "Larry has a lot of plans they would like to happen, but they don't happen."
Ryan’s Call
The source continued that the decision is ultimately Ryan's. "His family is hoping and praying," the source said. "A lot of people love him. He's a good guy. He's done good things and bad things. They believe God has a plan for Ryan."
Unconditional Love
Regardless of what Ryan chooses and if he remains sober, his parents will continue to support him. "They'll always love him," the source said. "They will always be there. They're not shielding them because it is what it is. They're there to support him."
Legal Troubles
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Ryan was arrested on January 23, 2019 for outstanding warrants. He was charged with simple possession of heroin executed by Red Bank. He broke probation from a past 2017 possession of heroin charge.
Boozed-Up Bust
For his Hamilton County warrant, he was charged with theft of services under $1,000 when he allegedly left a bar without paying the $36 bill on December 19, 2018. The case was dismissed.
Getting Help
RadarOnline.com broke that Ryan completed a 90-day rehab stint in November after relapsing on drugs.
Family Bond
Ryan's dad Larry previously told RadarOnline.com that the family is "excited to see" him. "I've missed him," he said.
Reunion
"Ryan is excited to come home and be with all of us," he said. "He said he's missed us and he loves us. I'm excited. It's been a long time."
Alone Time
A source previously told RadarOnline.com that the first thing Ryan is going to do when home is have time to himself.
Supportive Spouse
"He's had no private time at all," the insider said. His wife Mackenzie "understands." "She told him, 'I've been taking care of these kids. You need to help me with the kids when you're done!' She's been really good," the source said. "She's been very firm with Ryan."
Time To Reflect
The source said of his "private time," "He said he wants to sit in the woods for a whole day and not have to listen to anyone talk. He wants to get on his motorcycle and ride it."
Dad’s Back
Ryan is also looking forward to seeing son Jagger. Mackenzie gave birth to Jagger in October 2018 while he was in rehab. He is also reuniting with son Bentley, 10, from a previous relationship with Maci and stepson Hudson.
