Sharon Stone goes nude and discusses her difficult aneurism recovery for the first time in Harper's Bazaar September issue. Get the details!
Sharon Stone took the plunge and stripped down for the cover of Harper's Bazaar September issue!
The spread includes a varied selection of powerful and intimate portraits, all featuring the model-actress in the buff.
In 2010, the then 52-year-old found herself at the bottom of the barrel, appearing as a limited guest star on Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit and forgetting her lines to boot.
Once an Oscar-winning actress – for her role in Casino – Stone recalls feeling utterly "humiliated" and asking herself: "What did I do to deserve this?"
The blonde beauty's unfortunate circumstances are thanks, in part, to an aneurism she suffered back in 2001.
The tragic incident caused Stone cerebral hemorrhaging that lasted nine full days. When she left the hospital, she had lost the ability to read.
Now, she's back and better than ever.
Stone is set to star in TNT's upcoming season of Agent X, in which she'll portray the United States Vice President.
"I became more emotionally intelligent," she said of her recovery process. "I chose to work very hard to open up other parts of my mind."
"Now I'm stronger and I can be abrasively direct. That scares people, but I think that's not my problem," she added with a laugh. "It's like, I have brain damage; you'll just have to deal with it."
The September issue of Harper's Bazaar hits newsstands Tuesday, August 18.
