Selena Gomez left any lingering breakdown problems stateside, as she wowed the crowd at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, May 14 in a stunning all-white ensemble.
This is the first time Selena, 26, has attended the famous Italian fest, and she clearly dressed to impress.
The star is at the annual festival to promote The Dead Don't Die, an upcoming horror-comedy zombie film featuring a who’s-who of Hollywood heavyweights, including Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, and Rosie Perez. The film revolves around a group of police officers who fight a zombie takeover happening in their small town.
Selena’s appearance is further proof that she is recovering well from her mental breakdown. As RadarOnline.com readers know, the “Back To You” singer checked herself into a rehab facility to work on her health last October.
Upon her release, Selena went on a complete cleanse, moving out of Hollywood and taking a break from the spotlight.
But now she’s back with a force. Check out this RadarOnline.com gallery for more on Selena’s big comeback, and how she is putting the past behind her.
Stunning Debut
Selena stunned on the red carpet, wearing a white dress by Louis Vuitton coupled with Bulgari jewels.
Hair’s To You
Her hair was pulled up in a tight bun.
Bling Bling!
She completed the look with a sparkling diamond necklace.
Looking Good!
Selena has looked great since returning to the spotlight following her breakdown.
Health Crisis
Her mental health crisis reportedly hit while she was hospitalized for low white blood cell count.
Party Girl
Her family and mother Mandy Teefey believed it to be a result of her alleged drinking habit and reckless partying.
Drinking Problem
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the singer was spotted downing liquor at a New York City bar in July, just days after ex-love Justin Bieber got engaged to Hailey Baldwin following a quickie rebound romance.
Big Comeback
But Selena is all smiles since leaving rehab, and has been slowly rebuilding her superstar status, including making a surprise performance at Coachella, standing alongside Cardi B and Ozuna to perform their hit song “Taki Taki.”
Quality Time
Sources tell RadarOnline.com Selena’s health has improved since she decided to avoid encounters with Justin and Hailey, to ensure she stays in a good place. She even skipped the recent Met Gala, and any possible run-ins, to spend some quality time with true friends at Disneyland.
Therapy And Help
She is also “going to therapy, working with a psychiatrist and is just trying to stay really active,” a friend revealed.
