Ryan & Mackenzie Edwards’ Pregnancy With Daughter ‘Wasn’t Planned’: ‘It’s A Mess’

Mackenzie Edwards shocked Teen Mom OG fans when she announced her second pregnancy with troubled husband Ryan – and the baby bombshell surprised them too.
RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the pregnancy was unplanned!
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the pregnancy announcement came just months after Ryan completed a 90-day stint in jail for breaking probation from a past possession of heroin charge.
On Teen Mom OG, Ryan struggled with severe anxiety when he returned home from prison, as his friend got killed while behind bars. Ryan even refused to film following his release.

Surprise!
“It wasn’t planned,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “She didn’t find out until a month ago. This happened right after he got out!”
Pregnancy Symptoms
Mackenzie blamed her pregnancy symptoms on stress at first. “She thought she was late because of dealing with everything and then Ryan coming home and stressing out,” the insider said. “Her periods haven’t been consistent since having Jagger either.”
Positive Test
The insider added, “She started putting on a little weight and took a test. The results shocked both of them.”
Due Date!
Mackenzie is due around January 1.
Family Fears
Mackenzie’s family believes the situation is “crazy.” “They need to focus on him getting better and on his relationship with the kids he already has,” the insider said. “Not to mention their relationship. It’s a mess and she’s digging herself deeper.” Ryan is also father to son Bentley, 10, with ex Maci Bookout. Mackenzie is mom to son Hudson from a previous relationship.
Where’s Dad?
As RadarOnline.com broke, Ryan completed his third rehab stint in November 2018, missing the October birth of his son Jagger.
Bad Past
Ryan was then arrested for outstanding warrants on January 23, 2019. He was charged with simple possession of heroin for breaking probation from a past 2017 possession of heroin charge executed by Red Bank. He was also charged with theft of services under $1,000 when he allegedly failed to pay a $36 bar tab in Hamilton County.
Off The Hook
The theft case was dismissed. He accepted a plea deal and was released from jail on April 15 on the possession charge.
Staying Sober?
A separate source told RadarOnline.com in April that his family doesn’t believe he’ll remain sober. "Being incarcerated, his family hopes he learned his lesson and stays clean," the insider told RadarOnline.com. "Would they bet on it? Not on a dime. Drugs are very powerful. When your body needs them, you do things you normally wouldn't do."
Worried Wife
While RadarOnline.com reported in June that he seems to be “clear of heroin,” he “still does drink.” “Mackenzie doesn’t trust him fully,” the source said. “She doubts his decisions if she’s not supervising him.”
New Addition!
Mackenzie announced the pregnancy on July 5 with a sonogram of the baby girl. She captioned the snap, “Baby Girl Edwards is coming in January!” The announcement was a shock, as Mackenzie has said in the past that she is done having children.
Current Season
On the current season, Maci has expressed her concerns over Ryan and his family not addressing his arrest to Bentley.
