Russell Crowe looks like he put the “ate” in Gladiator, as he shot some hoops with his son Tuesday afternoon. The Aussie actor was struggling with weight issues for quite some time, breaking the scale at a whopping 270 lbs last year! But now, Crowe looks like he's packed on even more! Crowe, 53, sported a big, bushy gray beard to cover his growing double chin.
Friends are concerned for the Oscar winner, who reportedly tipped the scales at least 270 pounds last Spring.
While on vacation, the Australian native played some one-on-one against 11-year-old son Tennyson while in North Bondi, Sydney.
The two were joined by Crowe’s personal assistant, with whom he has been romantically linked in the past.
But Crowe has denied those allegations on Twitter.
“Been told there are pics of me ‘on holiday with a young woman’ in Mexico #thereforameeting #shesmyassistant #defamersbegone #fakeassnews,” he tweeted.
Crowe has been busy lately, getting ready to sell off a bunch of his personal items in a “divorce sale,” following the end of his marriage to Danielle Spencer
“Russell Crowe: The Art of Divorce” is being conducted by Sotheby’s Australia.
Among the items for sale is a used jockstrap from Crowe’s film ‘Cinderella Man’ with a starting bid of just $500.
