The mom-of-two, 48, who once lived in high-end Brentwood thanks to an estimated $15million fortune earned from her chat show and movie roles, has been staying at a modest $4,000-a-month unit in Marina del Rey.
Instead of Brentwood A-listers, such as Tom Brady, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck for neighbors, Lake is now more likely to bump into wannabes and has-beens from little-watched TV shows!
The ground floor two-bed unit is part of a development built in the 1970s. Although it boasts a gym, outdoor pools and hot tubs it is nothing like the $8.45million six-bed home in star-studded Brentwood that Ricki sold in 2014.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Lake is reeling from the bipolar death of her ex-husband, Christian Evans. She has been spotted at the waterfront development walking her dog wearing exercise gear. A source in the development said: “People living here doing a double take when they see Ricki.”
“No one can understand why someone who has earned millions is living in a place that, frankly, isn’t a place that millionaires call home,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “There are actors here but there more like extras from TV shows no one watches, to be honest.”
“There is speculation she must be going broke,” said the source. “There can’t be any other reason she’s here.”

Lake has been getting in shape to make a comeback on British TV talent show Shine later this month. The star’s income has paled in comparison to her 1990s heyday, and her last proper movie role was in a 2007 remake of her first movie, Hairspray. A reboot of her talk show ended in 2012.
