'RHOC' Disaster! Gina's Ex Matt Hit With Felony Charge After Domestic Violence Arrest

Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter‘s estranged husband has been charged with domestic violence and false imprisonment of the reality star, according to documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.
On Wednesday, Matt was charged by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office with two felony charges relating to his explosive June arrest.
The shocking documents claim he “inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition” upon Gina during the June 22 incident.
Matt was arrested back in June, but prosecutors didn't charge him until today.
If found guilty, Matt could spend 4 years and 8 months in state prison, Orange County D.A. spokeswoman Kimberly Edds told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
Gina had filed for divorce in April 2018, but the marriage won't officially be dissolved until Jan. 1, 2020.
They have agreed to peacefully coparent sons Nicholas, 7, and Luca, 4, and daughter Sienna, 5.

Shocking Claims
As RadarOnline.com readers know, during the bitter divorce, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 35, accused Matt of drug and alcohol abuse and claimed he hit her when he was arrested as their divorce hit a low point.

Gina accused Matt of hitting, choking, dragging and even threatening to kill her in the terrifying fight, according to court documents.

During an Aug. 14 hearing, Gina’s temporary restraining order was extended to January 15, 2020, when both sides will meet again to discuss the domestic violence claims against Matt.

Bitter Feud
RadarOnline.com previously reported that Matt claimed Gina was using his love for their children as a way to be “extremely vindictive” in their divorce. “Petitioner has historically been extremely vindictive and has used the children when she becomes angry or wants to control me,” he wrote in a July 30 declaration, adding that Gina has heightened the drama in a desperate grasp for fame.
Matt claimed that Gina was increasing the drama in their situation for RHOC footage. “Petitioner has been acting erratically and in a way that I believe is unfortunately more based on a ‘storyline’ for her reality television show and not rooted in the best interest of our children,” he wrote in the documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.
