Morning TV War EXPLODES On Set! Michael Strahan & Robin Roberts Caught In Nasty Spat
Feb. 17 2017, Updated 4:55 p.m. ET
Bombshell photos exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com appear to reveal that Michael Strahan is once again locked in an epic on-set confrontation with a morning co-host. As explosive images show, the Jan. 26 incident concluded when 45-year-old Strahan’s Good Morning America sidekick, Roberts, shot her co-host a sidelong glance that could have withered an elm tree. A GMA rep brushed off the tiff, saying: “The only disagreement on set was over who’s going to win the Super Bowl.” And a rep for Strahan separately denied any problems between the two — demonstrating that for Kelly Ripa revenge is a dish best served up by a competing anchor!
As explosive images show, the Jan. 26 incident concluded when 45-year-old Strahan’s Good Morning America sidekick, Roberts, shot her co-host a sidelong glance that could have withered an elm tree. A GMA rep brushed off the tiff, saying: “The only disagreement on set was over who’s going to win the Super Bowl.” And a rep for Strahan separately denied any problems between the two.
Only minutes before, 56-year-old Roberts, who was “noticeably upset” with Strahan, according to an eyewitness, stormed off the GMA set during a break to confront one of the ABC show’s producers.
Strahan bounced out of his chair to follow Roberts, “and it seemed he was trying to explain himself,” the snitch claimed. “The exchange went on, complete with finger-pointing, for close to four minutes before they went back to their chairs.”
That’s when Roberts gave Strahan the epic “stink eye,” as RadarOnline.com’s photos show. A GMA staffer then escorted Strahan to another area of the set.
Renowned body-language expert Dr. Lillian Glass reviewed photos of the blowup, and declared Roberts and Strahan “detest one another!” “Obviously, there’s a lot of conflict and over-the-top rage,” Dr. Glass told RadarOnline.com.
The body-language expert pointed out how Roberts’s jaw jutted forward during the encounter, and she cupped the fingers of one hand into a half-fist, while pointing the other hand at Strahan. “She’s also showing a lot of tension in her upper brow, and one foot points forward in a fighting stance,” said Dr. Glass.

“Michael has a wide stance, and his chin is also jutting forward. It’s also a fighting stance. These photos seem to show they’re furious at each other!” Dr. Glass claimed.
Even after they sat down, Roberts gave a “whale eye” to the NFL Hall of Famer, and turned her legs away from him. “She’s disgusted with Michael,” Dr. Glass said. “This is a real conflict — and it is not settled!”
The apparent spat was a callback to the tension between Strahan and Kelly Ripa, 46, on Live. “Michael hogged the spotlight and acted as if the show was ‘Live with Michael and Kelly’ instead of the other way around,” dished a source.
Their feelings exploded into an on-air feud when Strahan secretly signed on to GMA last spring. “Kelly wasn’t informed until moments before the news broke in the press,” one source said.
Infuriated at Strahan’s “treachery and disloyalty,” Ripa boycotted the show for three days. When she did return, “her manner flip-flopped between phony-sappy and out-and-out rude,” the source claimed.
The bad blood prompted Strahan, who had co-hosted for four years, to leave earlier than planned. But now, in an astonishing reversal, insiders said a regretful Strahan is begging Ripa to take him back on Live — and she’s getting the last laugh!
