And Jennifer Garner proved this once again when she was spotted taking her 6-year-old son Samuel to the park.
The 46-year-old was spotted giving him a piggyback ride as they hit up a playground on Saturday.
She has had a difficult year after she finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck earlier this year.
And the actress stood by the father of her three children after he entered rehab to deal with drinking problems.
In recent times she has found happiness dating businessman, John Miller, however, she still loves to spend time with her children.
RadarOnline.com reported recently how she had enjoyed some free time with her friends by going out in Malibu while Ben looked after their kids.
It seems like the couple are sharing custody of their three kids Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel as they try and cope with the situation.
Affleck regularly takes his children to church each Sunday and he and his mother have also been spending time with one another.
He went to rehab after Garner staged an intervention on him with another friend as his drinking got out of control.
But now the couple seems to be in a better place as they prepare for the festive period.
