WATCH THE VIDEO OF TROUBLED BARTON. The OC star was spotted exclusively by RadarOnline.com at the swanky Bel-Air Hotel on Saturday, March 25, 2017. After a day of relaxation, the disheveled actress ran into issues when her credit card was declined.
Barton was presented with a check that totaled nearly $2,000 when she tried to check out of the Bel-Air Hotel on Sunday, March 26, 2017, about 7pm, a source told RadarOnline.com.
With her white bra exposed under her star print cardigan sweater, Barton gave her credit card to the clerk only to be met with the news that it had been declined.
In the lobby of the tony hotel, Barton was seen pleading with the desk employee as she insisted that they run the card again.
Often, hotels will call the police when a guest is unable to pay the bill, but Barton did not have to deal with the authorities in person this time.
The actress tried to reason with hotel employees, the eyewitness said, but the situation seemed serious.
Barton’s bags were brought to the lobby and held hostage on a hotel trolley nearby as she tried to clear up her debt with hotel staff.
The least expensive option in the hotel, the Deluxe Room with a king-size bedroom and bathroom, would set a guest back a whopping $675 per night.
According to the source, Barton spent time in the hotel's Spa La Prairie, where a 90-minute Maximum Indulgence experience is a shocking $420.
Barton was seen speaking to the employees for some time as they tried to resolve the matter.
Frantically making calls on her phone, she then headed out to the valet area to wait for assistance. With wet hair and her sweater barely covering her chest, she puffed away on a cigarette.
Barton warmed her hands near a standing patio heater in front of the hotel, the spy told RadarOnline.com, as she was chatting with valet employees. After a while, a car showed up and Barton signaled for the driver to pull up a little further ahead. She spoke briefly with the driver, before returning inside the hotel for several hours.
This is just the latest troubling incident for Barton. As RadarOnline.com reported, she had a frightening meltdown in January 2017, when her neighbors called the police after they heard her screaming in her West Hollywood yard. She was rushed to Cedars Sinai Hospital and claimed that she had been slipped a date rape drug. But she has since been spotted in bars drinking and acting erratically. She even moved apartments, crashing her moving van in the process.
