Mindy Kaling's Bitter Brother Exposes Star's Secret Hollywood Feuds In New Tell-All

While Mindy Kaling may seem like everyone's best friend, the Mindy Project star actually has her fair share of Hollywood enemies, her bitter brother Vijay "Jojo" Chokal-Ingham claims in his new book, Almost Black: The True Story of How I Got Into Medical School By Pretending to Be Black.
After telling a story about how Kaling, 37, once forbade her agent from working with a onetime boyfriend's comedy writer sister, Chokal-Ingham claims his sister has "engineered similar public and private plots" against her "many frenemies in Hollywood."

He says she also has her had "epic battles" with Office executive producer Greg Daniels.

Chokal-Ingam claims he, Kaling and their father were once approached by former couple Freida Pinto and Dev Patel at a sandwich shop in Los Angeles. Though Pinto and Patel were "charming and magnetic" during their encounter, "Mindy was distant, bored and made sure everyone knew she was a little put out, like she was having to make small talk with someone's kitchen help," her brother alleges.

"One thing I know about my sister is that being around a stunningly beautiful woman sets her off," he writes. "And Freida Pinto is, on the one to ten scale, north of fifteen. I knew that was a source of her antipathy toward them, particularly Freida."

The Office star Minda Kaling is one of a string of celebrity guests who appears on With Love, Meghan.
He said that she tweeted a sweet note about the encounter after he scolded her for acting so disinterested. "Mindy took a situation that rubbed her the wrong way and spun it into a sunny positive," Chokal-Ingam says. "For her public image, that is."
