Move over, Kim and Kyle Richards. There's a nasty new family feud in Hollywood. In a bonus chapter to his new book, Almost Black: The True Story of How I Got into Medical School by Pretending to Be Black, The Mindy Project star Mindy Kaling's older brother, Vijay "Jojo" Chokal-Ingam accuses his famous sister of "backstabbing" and "deception."

Chokal-Ingam claims he and his sister, 37, were on good terms until he revealed his plans to write a book about his experience getting into medical school by claiming to be African-American (He is actually of Indian descent.) "This book will bring shame on the family!" he alleges Kaling said.

"Her attack quickly got personal. She hurled a full kitchen sink array of allegations that had happened twenty years earlier," he writes. "Her overreaction was weird, maybe even a little unhinged." Though he claims she apologized, "the bitterness endured," he says. "Her venom remained both toxic and in abundant supply."

As for Kaling's claims not to have known about his decision to lie about his race in school applications, Chokal-Ingam calls it a "blatant lie." "She's known the story pretty much since day one, but never took exception to it or judged it as some moral turpitude against 'the family,'" the career coach alleges. "In fact, she helped!"

He then goes on to expose dirt about his sister. "Mindy is not the clumsy, slightly insecure BFF-next-door heroine she sells in her books and television projects," he claims. "Mindy is a lot more the Queen Bee, Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl than Dr. Mindy Lahiri from The Mindy Project."
