Katie Holmes knows how to dance like her life depended on it!
The actress flaunted her best moves while filming All We Had in New York City on Wednesday.
Holmes -- who plays poverty-stricken Rita Carmichael in the drama -- was joined by female co-star Stefania Owen, who plays her 13-year-old daughter Ruthie.
The 37-year-old rocked a pink tank top with denim bell-bottoms for the scene.
The actress shouldn't have too much trouble channeling her single-mother character.
After divorcing Scientologist hubby Tom Cruise and securing primary custody of their daughter Suri, she knows the single-mother life all too well.
The couple married in a Scientologist ceremony in Italy in November 2006 and split just five years later in January 2012.
Katie still has a handle on her inner child!
