Late Senator John McCain’s casket arrived at the Arizona State Capitol on Wednesday, and his daughter, Meghan, was spotted looking inconsolable at the ceremony. As RadarOnline.com readers know, John Sidney McCain III passed away on August 25, 2018 after a brave battle with brain cancer. The late politician’s office told RadarOnline.com in a statement that McCain was surrounded by his wife, Cindy, and other extended family members at the time of his passing. The war hero will lie in the capitol before being transported to Washington D.C. where he will be buried.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1. His body will be buried at the Arlington National Cemetery.

A memorial service was held for the late politician shortly after his body arrived. He served as a United States Senator in Arizona from 1987 until his death.

Late last year, John’s staff members said in a statement that the senator was “grateful” after his devastating prognosis.  Here, Cindy wipes away tears during the somber service.

The family remained strong as they stood amongst others in the capitol to bid John farewell.

Outside of the capitol, Meghan appeared in a black ensemble with oversized black sunglasses. In 2017, the Arizona politician had the honor of walking his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.
