Jodi Arias Celebrates 39th Birthday In Prison 11 Years After Ex-Boyfriend's Murder

Over a decade after slaughtering Travis Alexander, Jodi Arias spent her 39th birthday in prison, sitting behind bars for committing a heinous crime that shocked the nation.
The convicted killer is serving a life sentence for stabbing her ex-boyfriend 29 times, shooting him in the head and slitting his throat.
Locked up in the Perryville Prison in Arizona, Jodi has secret visits from old boyfriends, toils away for 40 cents an hour at her library job, and shops for sex toys in the commissary.

Happy Birthday
Arias turned 39 on July 9, 2019, 11 years after she showed up at Alexander’s Arizona home in the middle of the night, had sex with him and then killed him while he was in the shower.
Mug Shot
Arias was found guilty by a jury of first-degree murder, but they became deadlocked on her sentencing. After a second trial ended with a hung jury, the judge gave her life behind bars without the possibility of parole.
Love Never Dies
According to prison records, Arias kept in close contact with her ex-boyfriend Benjamin Ernst, who visited her multiple times in May and June 2019. She claimed in a bombshell letter after she was incarcerated that she hoped to get pregnant by Ernst, not considering the fact that conjugal visits are forbidden in the Arizona correctional system.

Alexander’s blood was all over the sink in his bathroom after Arias attacked him.
Brain Damage
Jurors saw an X-ray image that showed damage to Alexander’s skull. Arias shot her lover in the head while he was in the shower.
Caught On Camera
A crime scene photo showed that bedding, clothes and a camera were shoved into the washing machine. Detectives were able to recover photos from the camera that showed the victim after the murder.
Knife Work
Prosecution lawyers also exhibited X-ray images of Alexander's back, which displayed damage after he was stabbed dozens of times.
