Pastor Kathy Morris, who oversees the local Methodist Church, met Garner's estranged husband Affleck on an Oklahoma film set in 2012. Garner is known for attending church often, both before and after splitting from Affleck. Morris said the church could help heal Garner and her kids: “We are very family oriented here and the children would be taken care of. It’s always the children you need to watch in situations of divorce.”
