Jennifer Garner drove Ben Affleck to rehab late Wednesday afternoon after begging him to get help — and RadarOnline.com has details about his move to get treatment. As Radar exclusively reported today, the Batman star relapsed on booze, leading his longtime girlfriend Lindsay Shookus to break up with him, and ex Garner to demand he get help. Garner, 46, arrived at Affleck’s home around 4 pm on August 22, 2018 with a female companion, an eyewitness told Radar. “Ben was a mess. He was talking but you couldn't understand what he was saying,” the spy explained.
“Jen was just serious,” the source told Radar. “She looked like she was holding back tears. Seems like it's not the first time she's had to do this."
Garner left the home and returned 30 minutes later. Affleck didn’t put up a fight. “When she came back, it was all business. She reversed the car into the driveway and whisked Ben into the back seat. He was sweaty, puffy, looking quite out of it. Jen rested her chin on her hand as she drove and just looked ahead,” the source told Radar.
A tearful Affleck sat morosely in the back seat of the car while Garner sped away.
Affleck was caught with a box of what appeared to be beer bottles outside his home on August 20. He was “off the wagon,” another the source told Radar earlier today, and acting “sloppy” and “unmotivated.”
“When Ben drinks, he gets nasty and it’s hard to be around him,” the source explained. “He’s unmotivated and becomes very sloppy in his decision-making and his appearance.” His spiral led Shookus, 38, to pack up her bags and leave him for good. “His behavior was a big turn off to Lindsay, who prides herself on her work and her motivation for life,” the source told Radar.
Affleck was seen several times with Playboy playmate Shauna Sexton, a move that didn’t surprise Garner. “Jen realized a long time ago that she cannot fix Ben and that his problems are not hers to solve,” a source close to the actress told Us Weekly. “She’s not his babysitter. She just wants to protect the kids. But she does wish Ben would keep his life more private.” We pay for juicy info! Do you have a story for RadarOnline.com?
