Ben Affleck’s Booze Relapse Led To Nasty Split From Lindsay Shookus
Ben Affleck is back on the booze, a source claims — and the alleged relapse led to his recent split with Lindsay Shookus after a year together, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
The troubled actor — who as RadarOnline.com previously reported, was caught carrying a box of what appeared to be beer bottles outside his home on August 20 — is “off the wagon,” the source tols RadarOnline.com, and acting “sloppy” and “unmotivated.”
“When Ben drinks, he gets nasty and it’s hard to be around him,” the source explained. “He’s unmotivated and becomes very sloppy in his decision-making and his appearance.”
His spiral led Shookus, 38, to pack up her bags and leave him for good.
“His behavior was a big turn off to Lindsay, who prides herself on her work and her motivation for life,” the source continued.
Affleck's success wasn’t enough to keep her interested in the relationship, and it all proved to be a bigger headache than she needed. It became a distraction and wasn’t adding value to her bigger picture.”
However, an insider close to the star told RadarOnline.com that the breakup was "amicable," and the two still "adore" on another.

"Right now with their families, it is tough to be in two places at once," the insider insisted.
On August 9, Shookus was spotted hugging Affleck’s longtime recovery coach before leaving his home.

Of course, the father of three, 46, didn’t wait long before moving on. He is now dating 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton.
The new couple dined at Nobu on August 18, and picked up fast food before heading to his home the following day.
Affleck checked into rehab three times after his divorce from wife Jennifer Garner in 2015.
A source told RadarOnline.com last week that Garner threatened to keep the kids away from him if he doesn’t get help again.
